Welcome to Arik Kislin

Arik Kislin is a developer, a real estate investor, and an entrepreneur. He is also a principal in Linx Industries, a diversified investment company with stakes in a variety of industries.

A Great Start

From 1992 to 1998, Mr. Kislin was principal in a New York City real estate firm that specializes in development and management. The development and management of 3.6 million square feet also included the 1.5 million square foot of the Chelsea Market complex. With far reaching effects, his investment defined success. In the end, Chelsea Market was sold to Angelo, Gordon & Co.

More investment opportunities were presented to Arik in 1998 when he invested in a financial services firm whose specialty was distressed debt. The company now is managing portfolios with assets over $2 billion.

Capitalizing on Success

Arik's Chelsea Market success spawned a makeover of Manhattan's Meatpacking District in 2001, moving it from worn out to stylish, thus making the area one of New York City's most elite neighborhoods. Forming a partnership with the Achenbaum family, Arik worked as principal developer of the Gansevoort Hotel, the property responsible in part for the change of the Meatpacking District, which has developed into the major destination spot for international fashion, dining, and nightlife. These days, Arik is also involved in the developing of two other Gansevoort properties. A South Beach property in Miami Beach has a hotel, condominiums, spa, lounge, high-end restaurant, outdoor pool, outdoor bar and retail shops. Another New York site will be on the admired and prominent Park Avenue. This spot will feature a three level indoor and outdoor rooftop bar and pool. Construction will begin in the summer of 2008 on both projects. The partnership is often seeking more opportunities for development in the United States and overseas, and with the respected Gansevoort brand behind developments, future projects are assured success.

Diversification

Arik's interests, though, aren't confined to real estate. In 2004, Mr. Kislin invested in a private aviation company. A small, full service private charter management firm known as Air Rutter International, Arik's shift toward the skies also proved profitable. ARI has transitioned into a firm consisting of a fleet of private jets, a full service maintenance facility, fueling for private jets, and hangers for private aviation clients. With a Fixed Base Operations that includes private aircraft terminals for clients, the company is growing rapidly thanks to Arik's knowledge and skills.

On a Personal Note

Besides being an entrepreneur, Arik Kislin is also a member of the New York Friars Club. He enjoys yachting, tennis, and spending quality time with his wife and two children. He also has a great passion for baseball and is a lifelong player and fan.
